American Assassin

Assassin

Look out guys, Dylan O’Brien is the next movie hunk women will be wooing. Although a weathered Michael Keaton carries his weight in this action flick, it’s all about the young dude with the attitude.

Based on Vince Flynn’s novel with CIA operative Mitch Rapp, American Assassin was ten years in the making. It’s about the counter-terrorism unit that Rapp joins in his pursuit to rid the world of bad guys like the ones who killed his girlfriend.

The story is good, with mostly non-stop action, and likable characters. The cinematography is descent, taking us to some popular destinations, but dragging us into the underbelly of those locals at the same time.

Cathryn only had to look away a couple time during a torture scene. We both found the flick entertaining and worth an 8 out of 10.
