Book stores are struggling to survive, the same as restaurants and other small businesses in our area. Please shop local when you can, and help your neighbors to keep their businesses running during these trying times.
River Bookshop in Amherstburg, Story Tellers, Juniper, and Biblioasis are all local stores who can use your support. All my books are currently for sale at River Bookshop and Story Tellers. They are both currently open for curbside pickup.
I’ve always had an open mind when it comes to things like ancient healing techniques, Deja-vu, mystery sounding structures like the Pyramids, and the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
The television series, X-Files, also piqued my interest. Thinking about strange phenomenon depicted on that show, along with my personal experiences at ancient ruin sites, I was inspired to write my own paranormal thriller.
In my book, Four, I blend fact with fiction to give readers pause, and let them wonder if we really are alone in the universe. Here are four reasons I think you should buy my book, ‘Four’:
Four Men The story is about four men from different parts of the world who all experience something unexplainable during their lives, and are then drawn to the Khufu Pyramid in Egypt on the same date. Later, at a reunion of sorts, they try to explain it all to one of their sons, who comes to have his own beliefs.
Interesting Phenomenon Throughout the book, I refer to factual unexplained events that have happened in the past, and continue to occur to this day. There are so many things on our planet that we cannot explain and know nothing about. You just have to look for them.
Extraterrestrial Life Whether you believe it or not, there have been thousands of accounts of UFO sightings around the world for years, and artifacts that have been found on our planet that may prove their existence.
A Christmas Gift What better gift than something that lets an imagination run wild in wonderment, while discovering things in and out of this world that are fun to think about and contemplate.
Check out Four on my website, along with all my other books. They can be ordered online, but if you’re local and would like a copy of one delivered before Christmas, message me here or on one of my social media sites.

“Everyone Can Learn Math.” That’s Alice Aspinall’s motto, and coincidentally the name of her book. It’s a children’s book that can be used by educators and parents alike. This author even has her own YouTube channel, Mrs A Loves Math, that features her book as well as other instructional videos.
Alice Aspinall knows math. Not only does she have an Honors Degree in the subject, she teaches the subject to school children. Her first book is called, Everyone Can Learn Math, and she has a second in the works called, Let’s Explore Math.
If you’re interested in meeting Alice, learning more about her book, or purchasing a copy, come see her at the Essex County Authors Book Show at The City Market, December 12th, from 10am to 3pm.
Chris Carter is a local historian who writes about the history of Essex and Kent Counties. He reminds us of times and places long-forgotten, and teaches us about the history of our own communities. His readers re-discover our back roads, 200 year old cemeteries, a ghost town, forts, wineries, vegetable/fruit stands and many other amazing places and facts.
Chris has at least thirteen different non-fiction titles that have earned him notoriety in local newspapers and gotten him a heritage award from the University of Windsor. Carter works with the Essex Tour Group and Heritage Village, offering tours of our county’s most historical sites.
Besides his self-published works, he does work for other historical groups and presses. If you’d like to meet Chris Carter and buy one of his books, come see him at The City Market, for the Essex County Authors Book Show, Saturday, December 12th, between 10am and 3pm.
